February 15th Sketch Part 2 for stuck?!

 The Sketch:

 I loved the simplicity of the sketch over at Stuck Sketches for the mid month challenge.

This photo is of my son after he was awarded an Excellence Award for a Scholarship in Classical Studies in his Year 12 year - this was a great achievement.

Lace and Ephemera! @ JAI

When I saw the title for the challenge over at JAI - I just had to check out what Ephemera was - this looked like a fun challenge and here is my entry

I had lots of fun finding all the  bits and bobs of Ephemera - amazing what you keep sometimes - because "hey one day it might be just what you need" and this challenge certainly fitted this description.  Thanks JAI - I really enjoyed putting this layout together.

TYPOGRAPHY ?!?

MMMmmm now you ask what is Typography - this is the Challenge over at  Challenge Me Happy - it is a mixture of Type / Journalling / Lettering etc...

Here is my layout using this theme.


I cut the page and put it through my printer for some of the journalling  and then added a further title and journalling with chipboard lettering and stickers.

Nic Howard showed us how to put a 12x12 into your printer and then rejoining it without seeing the cut - as I have by putting the mat of paper where the join is - very clever.

Love this sketch over at Creative scrappers.  

 
 
and with this photo everything just fell into place.  I am really pleased with how it all came together.

This photo was taken when we were visiting Rainbow Springs in Rotorua.

Love Multi Photo Layouts

I was very excited to see the February Challenge at Scrappin' Patch  - Scrappin' Patch February Challenge   - a mulit photo layout using a sketch by  Page Maps

 

Here is my take on the sketch:

I have used papers from the Simple Stories Awesome range - these papers are just "awesome: and I am really enjoying using them. (might need to get some more :) )

Stuck on a Challenge

Loving the sketch from Stuck Sketches     http://stucksketches.blogspot.co.nz/  and it worked really well with these photos of my son in Stage Challenge.

This is the sketch   and then this is my take on this sketch.

     I have had these photos printed for a while now and it has been a case of them coming in and out of my photo stash as I was never quiet sure what I wanted to do with them - but last night it all just fell into place - I must say I am really pleased with how it all came together.

When browsing the current challenges I found this one on the Purple Pumpkin February Sketch Challenge:

and I knew I had the perfect photo for it.

It is February and LOVE is in the air!!!

Why not make a layout of your loved ones using some hearts? (just an idea)

So this is my take on the Challenge.

I have used a button, doily and washi tape from Purple Pumpkin - I also found the hearts in my stash (source unknown) for the "Love" is in the air.

  

This photo is of our son all dressed and ready for his Year 13 College Ball - he looked very dashing :)
