HOME TIME....

I am on a roll with getting these photos scrapped.... loving the sketches over at Sketch n scrap...

The simplicity of these sketches are great... I get to jazz them up as much or as little as I like and they are really suiting the error of the photos I am working on...

This layout is of Gavin all dressed up and ready to go home.

HE'S ARRIVED!

First cuddles with your newborn is always special...... and it was great to scrap this page of mummy cuddles with Gavin...

Sketch n scrap are doing some great "throw back" sketches... nice and simple...

Loved the simpleness of this sketch... and found papers that worked perfectly with it... even found the clock that I was able to put the time of birth on.

MEETING THE FAMILY

I love double layouts.... so good to be able to get lots of photos on a page to tell the story.

So again it is a sketch from Scrapmuch....

Gavin gets to meet his sisters Kylie & Monique and my parents Granny & Grandad... I love the way this page has come together... the page that is the circle has been in my stash for a while and I loved the wording on it and it has worked perfectly on this layout.

MY BABY BOY IS TURNING 21!

The baby of our 3 children is turning 21 in May.... and so out came the baby photos and I am now doing up his 21st album.... I only really have to do from 0-7years as I have been scraping for a while now and all his photos are done...other than the early ones...

So had a busy weekend and this is what I have done so far.....

Sketch hunting I went.... the first one is from Scrapmuch

This is a great sketch and worked well with these photos.....having fun working my way through my "stash" as well to see what I can find for these layouts.... loving the way many of the photos will be popped into divided pages.... makes everything so easy.

SEA PLANES

When I saw this sketch over at The Memory Nest.... I thought wow that is certainly different and really wanted to give it a go... it is also my first time doing a Memory Nest challenge....... it was a very thought provoking sketch and I enjoyed the challenge of it....

Isn't different...... and this is what I came up with....

When we were in Ketchikan..... I had never seen so many sea planes....It was like “grand central station of the sea”........As fast as one landed and other took off...

I have used all stampin up product.

Bloomin Heart

I have decided I am going to start adding a few of the cards that I have been making to my blog.... Loving the gorgeous Bloomin Heart die from Stampin up....

I have created this wedding card with it....

Love the way the glitter paper makes the heart pop.... and I have used gold for the extra pop in the flowers

LEAVING KETCHIKAN

The day we were in Ketchikan.... there were 3 other Cruise boats in as well as ours.... so town was a very busy wee place..... for these photos of us departing I used the sketch from Scrapmuch...

It was a great sketch which meant I could use multiple photos....Our boat was the first to arrive and of course the first to leave...

OUR TOTEM POLE

When visiting the lovely town of Ketchikan..... we did a walking tour and checked out the many totem poles that decorate this town.... and we found "our pole".... well we claimed it being out surname is Johnson.....

NICE & WARM

While sailing around Glacier Bay in Alaska.... it was really nice to warm up with a cobb loaf of bread and some nice warm chowder....

For this photo is have used the fun sketch over at Lets get sketchy - week 2

It was a fun sketch to complete... I did some double layered masking with the texture paste and then had a bit of fun with mists and stains..  love getting my fingers all inked up :)

SKAGWAY

Loved the wharf in Skagway.... it was very remote looking.

I have done a very simple layout for these photos...

SO BEAUTIFUL

Cruising around Glacier Bay (Inside Passage) was amazing.... all the glaciers were just incredible, along with the snow caves.

I love the sketch over at Stuck sketches .... and as soon as I saw it I knew the photos and layout I wanted to do... then it was just working out the papers.

Again I used the lovely DSP Seasons of Cheer from Stampin Up .... along with the snowflakes which I brushed in white glimmer paint.

THE SANCTURY

Love it when you can use lots of photos on one layout.... so this double layout worked perfectly for these photos..

This sketch is from the Scrapmuch .... This is the day we cruised around Glacier Bay... it was certainly the coldest day of the cruise.   Hence we are well wrapped up against the weather.

For this layout I have used the Stampin Up Seasons of Cheer DSP.... it is Christmas Paper range but it also worked well for a couple of layouts that I have completed.

WILD LIFE

I still have approximately 600 photos to get together in album.... these of from our trip to USA in 2014.... would really like to get them finished by end of January.. but think I might be pushing it... but I have made a start....

This first layout is based on the above sketch from LGS....
The wildlife in Alaska were all in hiding while we were there ..... hence we had to resort to photos with the stuffed variety of "wildlife".

Where oh where have I been

I have no idea where the time has gone.... I have not managed to blog since May... that is terrible...I have been doing a little bit of crafting but obviously not enough.... What with leaving my very well paid job and taking the plunge and starting my own business.... Karen Johnson Property Management Ltd

This has taken a lot more time to get up and running than I thought it would.... but we now have a new year and I lots of photos to get through ....... so crafting I a go......
