SO MUCH FUN!

Love it when family from around the country are able to get together.... and all though we may not see each other for year on end.... when we do.... we have so much fun...

Over at Southern girls challenge.... this month they are challenging us to use things in out stash... and it is buttons and brads..... two of the things I hang onto for that special project but still never get used...

So this time I have....and more :)

I purchased these chip board flower in Melbourne about 4 years ago.... but have never used.... and for this layout they worked perfectly as I have added the coloured brads to make the flower centers... and they worked really well....Love how colourful this layout is...

Love it when you can put more than one photo on a layout...so to get 5 on one was very exciting...

This is such a great way to tell a story.... both with photos and journalling.

I recently had another visit to my Dad.... and as it was a lovely day we were able to put him into a wheelchair and take him for a walk... we were joined by a couple of the other "inmates" as well..

Gosh.... how time flies.... for one reason or another the 4 of us had not been together for at least 4 years.... so it was great to get together for dinner for Lynette's 50th Birthday.

I have used the sketch from Stuck sketches....

 

I brought this great chipboard title a long time ago and it worked perfectly for this layout...

SISTERS 50TH BIRTHDAY

Ok ..... finally I am on a roll and so have a few to load up to my blog today.... I am on target to keep up to date....

This layout is based on a sketch from Scrap our stash...Loved the sketch and they have the added challenge of this month giving you a word and you have to have something on the layout for each letter of this word..... now this was a challenge... but I got there....

The word is GOALS

And I have the following

G = Gold thread on the tag
O = outline around the page and there is a little bit of orange on the large button (this was a major challenge)
A = Arrow
L = Lace, lined DSP
S = Stripes

 

This a very clean and simple layout.... but I didn't want to over clutter it...

FUN IN THE SUN!

Wow..... it has been so long since I have been able to just sit down and enjoy some scrap booking.....this year I am determined to keep up to date.... so today it was off to print of January to date....


Layout one is done.....

When looking around for inspiration I came across this "summer inspired mood board"..... show us your stuff....

The colours & theme of the mood board.... worked perfectly with my photos... as part of the challenge you have to also "include your handmade item (made by yourself or somebody else)!"........ for this layout I created the textured background, put together the embellishments from a variety of embellishments & decorated the chipboard title......Love this photo of my daughter and her friends having fun.
