ON THE FERRY

The August challenge over at Scrap-the-girls is a recipe:

All entries must use
  • flowers
  • masking
  • doodling and
  • chipboard or wood veneers
I had this great photo of Monique and Maureen (Nana) on the Devonport to Auckland ferry (this was the first time Maureen had ever been on the ferry) and had fun putting all the ingredients of the recipe together... and this is what I "baked".

I sponged the mask... the flowers are in the paper I used (retired Stampin Up) and also the chipboard... on the flowers of the chipboard I used the exciting new "pop dots" for the centre of the flowers..... doodling doesn't totally show up on the photo but is around the striped paper and then there is my "horrible" handwriting... I don't very often doodle my journalling, I normally do it on the computer.

The piece of washi tape I have used with the writing on  it was just perfect..

Recipe complete... I am really happy with the way it has come together, and it has the family seal of approval.

Thanks for viewing.

CUDDLES

Gosh where has July gone?  I have some wonderful challenge sketches printed out ready to scrap but the month has come to an end and I haven't really completed many.... never mind they will go into my folder for future reference... they will never go to waste.

This is my final page for the month and it is for Scrapmuch - week 2 challenge

This is my eldest (Kylie) and my youngest (Gavin) at Rotorua airport..  Kylie had not long flown in from Wellington and Gavin was about to fly out to Sydney.  Kylie had to give her "little" brother a good-bye hug... as you can see by the expression on Gavin's face he is totally thrilled to be the receiver of those hugs.

DINING WITH WALLACE

Using Sketch #38 over at My Scraps & More

worked really well with these photos of my son Gavin's mascot - Wallace the Wombat on their Year 12 History trip to Sydney.....

Here Wallace is having lunch with their teachers and on an outing with Mr Adams.

How cute is Wallace?

It is amazing the thing 16-17 year old boys find amusing.

SCRAP-BOOKING GIRLS

You can't beat a three day weekend of continual scrap-booking - the sketch at Purple Pumpkin

set this photo of our "Delinkquents" Group with the lovely Nic Howard off really well .....

We were at Spring Escape 2012... I have put a journalling tag behind the photo with all the details of the event behind the photo.

HOW MANY STEPS!?!

For our 25th Wedding Anniversary we went to the lovely town of Raglan and very appropriately we went for a walk to The Bridal Falls and the double sketch over at Scrapmuch worked well with all the photos to to show off this lovely place

I love multi-photo layouts

There were lots of steps to walk down to the bottom of the water fall and then of course you had to walk all the way back up!

YUM IT'S MOET

Gosh where has the time gone - in more ways.  Now that we have had my daughter's 21st and husbands 50th I am back to scrap-booking other photos which is rather refreshing.

So here we go - over at Lets get sketchy their week 1 sketch is just what I needed for a bit of inspiration for to get started again.

This year has been a year of "big" numbers - our 25th wedding anniversary, Monique's 21st and Jeff's 50th and these photo's were part of our 25th wedding anniversary
mmm you can't beat a lovely chilled glass of Moet & Chandon.

LOOK AT ME NOW!

This layout is a wonderful kit that I purchased from the very talented Nic Howard and is what I have put together as the "look at me now" photo for my daughters 21st birthday album

I am so pleased with how the whole album has come together and this layout is certainly the Grand Finale!
